This is not a city. It is a local kind of outback hamlet, near small lakes, and surrounded by hills. I used to live within 15 minutes, several years ago, and as it recall, there wasn't much beyond a few small businesses and perhaps a small restaurant. There are a few small towns like Bradford within a 6 mile range or so, all somewhat similar. Bath, Hammondsport, Savona and Sonora are all close.
